Our Story

Story of WONGSO
A platform for queer visibility through design and storytelling.
WONGSO began with a simple belief: visibility is power. We wanted to make queer identity visible in everyday life, not as performance but as presence.
Each collection draws inspiration from real queer experiences across Asia and beyond — the freedom of Bali beaches, the intimacy of Bangkok nightlife, the anticipation outside Berlin’s Berghain, and the creativity of Wonderfruit Festival in Pattaya.
But our story doesn’t end there. It continues with the euphoria of Coachella, where self-expression becomes art beneath the desert sun; the unity of Tomorrowland, where rhythm dissolves difference and bodies move as one; and the transformation of Burning Man, where identity is reinvented in the dust and reborn in the fire.
These moments shape how we see and express ourselves. We translate them into clothing that captures that energy — through texture, movement, and form — to remind you that freedom is not a place, it’s a feeling.
Our goal is to use design as a bridge between individuality and community, sensuality and strength, visibility and belonging.
At its heart, WONGSO is about people: about the act of being seen, being free, and being human.
Visibility. Humanity. Courage.
WONGSO stands for the courage to be seen as you are.
We see fashion as both art and advocacy, a creative act of self-definition.
Our work is guided by three principles:
-
Humanity – fashion that celebrates people, not perfection.
-
Visibility – representation that uplifts queer identity across Asia.
-
Responsibility – small-batch production that supports local makers and minimises waste.
Each collection is designed not just to be worn, but to be felt. Every piece serves as a reminder that self-expression is an act of love and visibility is an act of courage.
When you wear WONGSO, you are not just dressing your body. You are celebrating your existence.
With pride,
WONGSO
