How WONGSO Fits
Our pieces are designed for the expressive man who wears his style with confidence. Lace, mesh, and knit move differently from ordinary fabric — here's what to expect before you order.
All measurements below are body measurements — measure your own chest or waist and pick the size whose range contains it.
Free-Size Pieces
Our kimonos and robes are cut with an intentionally oversized, open-front flow — one size, made to drape:

Free-size means relaxed, one size fits most: the same kimono drapes beautifully on our 178 cm model and our broader-chested 182 cm model. Designed to be worn open-front — layered over a tank, shorts, or nothing at all.

All shorts have stretch or drawstring waistbands — between sizes, size down for a snugger seat, up for extra ease.

Tanks and crop tops are body-skimming without being tight; polos run slim. The stretch in our lace and knit is forgiving — if you like a looser look, take one size up.
Relaxed shirts (Boheme collection) — cut roomier, choose by your chest

Applies to: Boheme Lace Relaxed Festival Shirt in Bali Blue, Boheme Relaxed Shirt in Sunset Orange. These camp-collar shirts are deliberately relaxed and boxy — true resort fit. Your body measurement stays the same; the garment simply carries more room.
Good to Know
- Our lace, mesh, and knit pieces are sheer by design and have natural stretch.
- Shorts sit mid-thigh to above the knee depending on your height; the Batik and Libertine styles are cut deliberately short.
- Waistbands are elasticated and most shorts add an adjustable drawstring — small between-size differences are easy to dial in.
How to Measure Yourself
Grab a soft tape measure. It takes about 2 minutes.
- Chest: wrap the tape under your arms, across the fullest part of your chest, tape parallel to the floor.
- Waist: wrap the tape around your natural waistline (usually just above your belly button), snug but not tight.
- Length (trousers only): outseam, from your natural waistline straight down to your ankle.
Compare your numbers to the size tables above. If you're between two sizes, size up for stretch fabrics.
